We were invited by Wataniya to attend the press conference for GiveKuwait2. After the success of GiveKuwait's first campaign, they are now developing their 2nd GiveKuwait competition. Registration will start on the first week of February at Mishref Fairground.

The main aim of the project is to develop the basic skills of young generation who are highly qualified and have the capacity to start and run a small business through the valuable experiences transmitted to them during this project.

Days ago I went to Sultan Center and found out that they've brought new drinks, one of them was bottled Sunkist made by Dr.Pepper. At first I thought the price of each box is 1.250KD then I've read "Dr.Pepper Sunkist Drink Bottle" above the price.

Compared to the 50fils Sunkist it's pretty good, but I still prefer the 50fils Sunkist over the 1.250KD.

For a change we decided to try out a new restaurant and went to Potbelly, it's almost like Subway but with better ingredients and the bread they use is extremely delicious even better than Subway.

It's the same idea, you can make your own sub from the bread to the sauces or choose one of the sandwiches available in the menu. We have tried Italian, Clubby and Grilled Chicken & Cheese; all of them were incredibly amazing.

One more thing, if you had the chance to visit Potbelly try out their Brownie Cookies and you'll be able to taste one of the best cookies I have ever tried in my life. It's a brownie that looks like a cookie with melted chocolate chips inside.

I was kinda disappointed by one thing only, the sizes they offer. The Original sub size is the same size of a 6'' sub from Subway and the biggest size they have is almost 9'', compared to Subway which they have is a 12'' sub.

My brother got us really cool gloves from London which you can use for your touch screen devices (iPhone-iPad etc..) especially during this cold weather. I honestly was surprised to find out that you can't use any pair of normal gloves with a touch screen device, so Smart Touch Gloves came in really handy.

Review: Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

The movie turned out to be fantastic in all aspects. Tom Cruise did a fantastic job in creating the best Mission Impossible series so far. Simon Pegg did a great job as-well with his humorous character.

I love how the movie was shot in multiple places. It took place in Dubai, India, Russia, Czech Republic and Canada.

The duration of the movie was a bit long for an action movie. It's almost 2 hours and 10 minutes long. The movie is great to watch with all the spy equipments, gadgets and incredible action scenes.

My rating 8.5/10

I visited The Art Of Can by Red Bull which was placed at 360 mall. It's basically recycled red bull cans made into creative art work. I was really amazed by the innovative 3D metal work objects.

I took a few pictures only. There are a lot of other amazing art work and portraits displayed. The Art of Can ends on the 17th of December so make sure you check it out soon.

AUM's Business Expo

The visuals were stunning along with the amazing action scenes. I loved the acting of Mickey Rourke (King Hyperion) and Henry Cavill (Theseus). I didn't enjoy the moral of the story and I expected a better ending.

Few days back, Let's Popcorn sent us 5 flavors of popcorn to try ( Caramel - Yellow Cheese - Oreo - Chicago Mix - Ketchup ) and what makes them even more special that they have 19 different flavors of popcorn.

I tried all the flavors they've sent and I liked the oreo flavor more, you'll literally feel the oreo all over each piece.

We were invited to the grand opening of Fashion TV store at The Dubai Mall. It is the first store to be launched in the middle east.

The opening was with presence of the owner of Fashion TV Michel Adams along with many models performing at the catwalk. I managed to snap a few shots of the catwalk. As I've heard some of the collection displayed will be out on Spring 2012.

We were 5 people so we decided to try all their sandwiches. We ordered the grilled chicken, pita special chicken, pita cheese steak, pita cheese burger, BTP, Veggie and Nutella.

My favorite sandwiches were pita special chicken, pita cheese steak and nutella. The pita bread tasted amazing.

I'm not a fan of fashion However all fashion women should know about this. Versace will be officially available for H&M collections. The collection will be in selected stores on November 17 at The Avenues and Marina Mall.

Review: Burger Box

Burger Box is one of the new burger restaurants opened in Kuwait. The design of the restaurant is amazing. The lights, funky look and service makes you want to dine-in. Their menu is unique too, they made it look like a mail envelope and when you open it you can find the menu. I loved the idea and packaging.

I tried their Burger Box, Texas Chili Fries and Onion Rings. Their Texas Fries were unbelievable, I would easily consider it my favorite so far; Yes it's even better than Chilli's Texas Fries.

The burger box in the other hand was average. The meat itself was dry and over cooked. I enjoyed the big soft buns. Onion Rings were average nothing fancy. They also have mini burgers and hot dogs, I still didn't try them but I will soon enshallah.

We were invited to attend Fatburger's soft opening at Burj Jasem today and I can tell the place looks promising. I went to Fatburger ( The one at Spoons ) and noticed that this one has better comfy chairs, great atmosphere and what makes it even better is it's very close to my house.

I ordered a burger and a chocolate milk shake. Fatburger's milk shake is incredible ask anyone who tried it specially that they use Life With Cacao's ice cream for their milk shakes. The burger was good but kinda dry, when I asked for a sauce it appears that the sauces are optional. They actually have ranch, thousand island, mayo and ketchup which you can add to your burgers.

What grabs my attention is the signs they've added before you enter the restaurant, creative idea. *Applause*

Fatburger's official opening day is on Wednesday 25th of ~~November~~ October.

Most of the people I know love cookies and some consider themselves as cookie monsters too. However, not everyone knows about Mrs.Fields which has one of the best cookies you would ever taste.

When I first entered the place I start drooling and wanted to try almost every single cookie they have. I tried the chocolate chip cookies, M&M's cookies and Kinder Cookies.

Kinder cookies were my favorite, the taste was incredible and I recommend everyone of you to try it out. For each 1 dozen you'll get a free box of your choice of cookies, cup cake or brownies. The only competitor for Mrs.Fields is Baking Tray and nobody can deny how good their cookies taste like.

I'm sure most of you know that Kim Kardashian was in Dubai for the opening of Millions Of Milkshakes store at The Dubai Mall. Well, I guess I was at the right time at the right place. People were crazy enough to wait for her for more than 6 hours just to see her, others actually fainted as soon as they saw her.

Let's talk more about the store. Millions of Milkshakes is basically your choice of milkshake or sundae, you can either choose the type of milkshake you desire by selecting your favorite chocolate bars or get one of the famous celebrity milkshakes.

I tried one of their famous milkshake called "The Million Dollar Shake" which contained a mixture of Ferrero Rocher and Strawberries. It was really amazing, as any other milkshake.

My New Favorite Sandwich at Health Stop

Everybody knows Health Stop and how they care to provide you with the best fresh healthy meals that has less calories and fat. This time I decided to try something new so I ordered Egg Salad Wrap and Turkey Ranch Melt.

The Egg Salad Wrap was great only that the sandwich has more lettuce than egg ( They should name it Lettuce Wrap with Egg ), it's great to have this sandwich as breakfast since it has lots of protein ( 159 sat fat - 89 good fat ) and carbs ( 30g calories ). - costs 1.250KD

The Turkey Ranch Melt so far is the best turkey sandwich I have ever tried and I consider it as #1 sandwich at Health Stop. It has protein ( 9 sat fat - 9 good fat ) and carbs ( 9 calories ). - costs 2KD with a side order.

Subway will be opening soon in Mishref at Block 3 Co-op branch. They are increasing rapidly in each area. Until now they have over 45 branches in Kuwait.

I'm glad that they are finally open in my area Mishref.

The famous audio equipment store Bose is finally open in The Avenues Mall. The place looks really nice. I've tried their noise reduction headsets and they were unbelievable.

You'll find a lot of stuff at their store. It is located in The Avenues Mall phase one next to Nino.

Sneak Peak: Motor House

Motor House is the place for those who love cars or saw a car from outside Kuwait and need a store that can buy and bring this car here to him/her. The place is really big with a huge collection of cars, bikes, boats and ATVs.

Mostly the cars are used but in a rare condition almost like the new ones, and from what I saw Motor House got taste in choosing cars. Imagine a place that can bring the car you need, do a full check, add shades, buy accessories and get your new car's papers done all in one place.

Even though it's not officially opened you can still visit Motor House and see what they got and maybe buy a car too. According to the sales man the place is going to officially open in October.

Motor House located right next to 52 Degrees, actually you can see their door inside the store itself. ( Right behind the Gallardo in the picture above )

Next time I'm going to buy/sell a car this place will be my first choice.

Mishref's 24 hours Co-op is finally open after construction which took months. It is one of my most visited co-ops and the busiest too in Mishref. They are offering special prices and new products including kid games, bookstore and car accessories.

The branch is well-organised with more space compared to the previous one. They also offer the price tag bar code. If you never visited it before, it is near Burger King and Pizza Hut.

D'Lush's Yogurt Shakes

I'm not a big fan of frozen yogurts, but this drink is a must specially if you really love frozen yogurts. Instead of eating the frozen yogurt with adding fruits and stuff to it, D'Lush made it as a drink with flavors.

They have three different flavors ( Mango - Strawberry - Raspberry ) and since I love mixing things I tried the strawberry/raspberry mix, the result was outstanding and I consider it as on of the best drinks at D'Lush after the cookies & cream drink of course.

I got the new Blackberry Bold Touch 9900 a couple of days ago from Fono. It's not the smallest Blackberry but it is the slimmest of it's kind. There are many good and bad to talk about concerning the new blackberry. It's better if I list them in two parts with a few comparison to the previous blackberries.

The Good:

1- Larger Screen; 24-bit high-resolution display.

2- Bigger keyboards

3- Faster with Blackberry OS7; 1.2 GHz processor

4- High speaker quality

5- Touch screen; Best for browsing.

The Bad:

1- Photo camera only 5MP with no auto focus.

2- Battery life dies quickly, the blackberry bold 9780 can stay longer.

3- Mute button on the right side between the volume section is placed badly - at least I need to get used to it.

4- Touch screen too sensitive.

Overall, The new blackberry 9900 is a great device for a daily business and fun usage with many great features. However, it still has it's disadvantage on the amount of apps comparing it to the android and iphone market.

PUMA training pants were trending in Kuwait specially during the World Cup 2010 when they released them with flags and I didn't like them at all. I passed by Debenhams days ago and found these training pants with a creative funny touch which I really like, a bird saying "GRRR!" to the Puma itself.

Two days ago I've went to Go Sport at The Avenues Mall and noticed that they've brought back a new collection of Abrecrombie and Fitch and their prices are very reasonable. I never did visit Baking Tray but one of my friends once brought a box full of cookies from their store and as soon as I tried them for a moment I thought I was in heaven. Subway's cookies used to be my number one cookies in Kuwait, but Baking Tray's cookies just changed that !

Now it's going to open at the Avenues Mall - Phase Two, above the English Tea Lounge and next to the Spa Time in the 1st floor.

Review: Captain America

The movie starts in a good shape with a interesting story line. A guy who volunteers to be part of a military service but gets refused because of his asthma and weak body. However, a doctor from a top secret research program finds him and accepts him; soon enough to turn him into Captain America.

After he becomes Captain America the movie starts to get really boring. The middle part and last part of the movie were truly awful. I tried my best to keep myself awake but couldn't bare the boredom of the movie. I didn't enjoy the action scenes neither the acting in the movie.

I expected a lot more. I would rate the movie 4/10

In April I noticed and posted about a Prado police car (Which we are still waiting to see in the streets), today I saw a something totally different a Safari police car but this time they were driving it. So far Kuwaiti police cars are from Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota and the old ones some are still using from Chevrolet and BMW.

Hope to see some new cool police cars like Porsche, Lamborghini or Hummer H2 *cough*

As for the 4WD police cars, can we say hello Safari .. bye bye Prado ?

Zain's "عالم جميل" Play

Zain invited us today to attend their play "عالم جميل" which was performed at Kuwait Ice Rink. It was a pleasure to see such a great performance and amazing music done by Kuwaitis, the whole play was in Arabic which made me extra love this work since it encourages our children to speak more Arabic than English.

I was wondering when will someone release a play for Eid not for the sake of money by bringing stars from the crowds' favorite series and put them all together in one pointless play, and Zain just made what I've been waiting for. I also loved the music and their lyrics, kids can learn a thing or two out of them.

Hope "عالم جميل" play changes the way other directors think by try focusing on what the kids need to learn rather than focusing on getting extra easy money.

Bloggers Gathering with Zain CEO

We were invited yesterday night by the family of Zain for a small bloggers gathering. The gathering was held for questions to be asked directly to the CEO and people working under him.

Some of the questions asked were sensitive which included how people would think that Zain are playing with the bills. However, they had a strong response that Zain are not thieves and anybody who has a similar issue could step-up and let us know about it. In addition to that, they made a special bill checking on their website so that you wont get confused with billing transactions.

Many other questions were asked by bloggers and Zain were really generous to answer all questions with explanation and details. I would like to add that the management of Zain were really nice and thoughtful, many laughs were spread through-out the gathering.

After the gathering we had a tour at the call center (107) as we had a look behind-the-scenes of the voices of Zain.

We would like to thank Zain for having a unique idea to confront the managers of Zain. Thank you Mohammed Al-Muhaini for the special invitation and the gift bag.

Dasman Diabetes Institute Girgai'an Event

We visited Dasman Diabetes Institute which held a Girgai'an gathering for diabetes kids and their families. The event was well-organized with plenty of fun activities. They had question games which was really fun.

They distributed nutritional and diabetes education facts and ask a nutritionist, as well as playing Xbox Kinect to promote an active lifestyle and promote physical activity through video games.

At the end of the event, they distributed portion controlled dried fruits, gum, and chocolates in small Girgain bags with nutrition information/labels.

EdgeWalk at the CN Tower is a new extreme attraction for thrill lovers. It looks scary but I would love to give it a try. You will be able to walk on the edge of one of the world’s tallest buildings, 356m/1168ft (116 storeys) above the ground.
