If you asked me what interest me the most in a film, I would say three things .. The acting, the story line and the graphics. "Tron Legacy trailer" doesn't show us much of what the story talks about, but the graphics are amazing ! very amazing !

Kuwaiti Prisoner Freed from Guantanamo Bay

After nearly 8 years in prison with no evidence to be captured for, Khalid Al-Mutairi, a 34 years old Kuwaiti prisoner, has been freed from the Guantanamo Bay. He was into US custody after traveling to Afghanistan with a charitable organization to build mosques and provide funds for schools and orphanages.

For the record, there were 12 Kuwaitis in Guantanamo Bay and 8 of them were sent back to Kuwait.

OMG this game is so annoying I never played it because I didn't want to get obssessed like the rest of the world. A couple of days ago I read an article which got me more surprise and excited I don't know why plus more annoyed at this game.

Review: Wash Away

I am so very disappointed at Wash Away, the service was awfully bad. I’ve known them from Ansam’s post and thought of trying them out. Let me tell you what happened, I called them on Wednesday to take an appointment for today, Monday 27^th at 3 pm. Well, what happened is that I called them today and it turned out that they totally forgot about me. An Indian guy picked up the phone and I kept telling him that I took an appointment for today at 3 pm and nobody came. He was clueless and replies by saying do you want to take appointment? I told him that I already did take an appointment, he was like no no today too much customer! He finally remembered me and told me that he can come at night, I told him to come at 8 pm. Guess what happened? Yes, he did not come. I called him at 8:30 and I think he forgot about me again. Anyways he finally arrived at approximately 9 pm. The cleaning was very average. the only thing I liked was the smell of the car, it turned out that they use a perfume called Paradise. The whole things costed 3 KD

Final rating 3/10 .. 1 for the great smell of my car and 2 for the good pricing

Digits at GUST

Good news for Apple users, DIGITS will be opening soon at GUST in the west side next to Altissimo. This is a really good news for me because I've been really busy lately that I don't even have time to go to marina mall's DIGITS to buy some accessories for my macbook, so now that it will open at GUST I will be spending a lot of my money buying things that are both necessary and unnecessary. I think DIGITS' open at GUST will be a big hit unlike Altissimo which turned out to be very disappointing.

GANT is now open at the avenues, it's bigger and has more collections than the one in Fanar Complex. I bought some nice shorts for 15 KD each, but I was surprised that most of them were XXL ..

Just passed by GO-Sport after having launch at Maki in the Avenues and I found this huge discounts. I saw water ski's that cost 71 KD, but after discount they're now 17.750 KD which is very cool !

If you need rope with the ski's, it costs only 5 KD .. which was nearly 9 KD before discount. They have wakeboards also for 5 KD.

Lets see now, if you buy water ski's plus rope and wakeboard you'll have to pay only 27.750 KD .. cheap isn't it !

When you notice Johnny Depp's name in a movie you should just have to see the movie because no matter what was the movie about, Johnny Depp acting will blast your mind !

Well, this time it didn't .. And I don't blame Depp for that because it was the director's fault, the camera effects and resolution was like watching a Mexican series, many mistakes I found in the movie plus it was very very boring.

Burgan Bank ATM Problems

Burgan Bank provides a lot of ATM machines around Kuwait other than the ones they provide in their branches. We see them mostly in gas stations, supermarkets, malls and universities. Although I'm not a Burgan Bank card holder but I use their ATM machines a lot because I always find one near me so it saves me time. But Recently those machines got me so annoyed because whenever I go to use it the screen tells me it’s out of service, yesterday I went to withdraw some cash from one of their ATM machines in a gas station it looked so innocent and friendly with the ad's going on the screen but once I put my card in the screen said sorry this machine is out of service and never returned my card. So beware of those ATM machines you don’t want your card to be eaten by a monster and go through the trouble of canceling your card and waiting a week to get it.

Huge Fire Near GUST

A fire was held today near GUST at the opposite side of the constructed mosque. The fire happened around 9:50 am. A lot of smoke surrounded the International Fair [Arth Al-Ma3arith] and the west side of GUST's parking spaces.

I still don't know what caused the fire and I hope nobody got hurt.

Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Despite the 4 shiny spots in the middle of the avenues screen that I had to put up with through out the 2 and half hour movie, the movie was very enjoyable to watch. I'm not a fan of Harry Potter but I actually liked the movie. There weren't a lot of action scenes and the movie took part mostly at the school. I give it 8/10

Movie plot:

Japanese news paper called "Mainichi Daily News" announced their 19th case of fire due to overheated iPod Nano. The government said on Tuesday that a fire caused by sparks from an Apple iPod nano occurred early this month.

Apple Inc. is warning users of the risks with the use of the four "first-generation" models, which sold about 1.81 million units in total between September 2005 and September 2006.

International Bank of Kuwait Says : "Increase The Days of School" !

International Bank sent a warning to increase the days of schools in Kuwait. They say that here in Kuwait we have 170 days of school while the original days of school like in other countries are 220, so this will effect on the quality of education here in Kuwait. In addition, many companies in other countries now calculate the days of school and hours the student did take to accept him/her .. even the universities will have the same accepting policy.

So this will be hard for the students, can you imagine adding 2 more months to study !
It means that they'll start for example on August till January, then start again from February till July, so this will makes the summer holiday only one month from July to August ! sucks !

It's been a while since I have ordered from Little Caesars Pizza! Pizza! Well, as I was about to start eating the delightful pizza and italian cheese bread I noticed a sign on the top left side of the box. "La tansah an tosamy qabla Al-Akil" as in don't forget to say grace before you eat.

Bnaider's Latest Fashion

Here in Kuwait, every year we have some kind of new fashion or can I say "Habba" .. Well, this year's "Habba" is the Flying Inflatable Boat. When my friends and I were sitting on Bnaider's coast we saw three flying boats approaching. The funny thing is it's not one or two, they were three and flying side by side ! .. It's very cool, I liked the idea and their prices are between 7,000 - 10,000 KD.

Orbit channels finally released on Showtime

While I was changing the channels looking for something interesting on Showtime, I accidentally found the channel "America Plus" later on the channel "Super Movies" but It's replaced by "Nojoom 3" that's from my Showbox. I don't know about the other receivers. I knew that there was a merge between Showtime and Orbit but I didn't think that they were for free!

Anyways I got to Showtime's website and here's what I got:

For those who want to buy unlocked iPhone 3GS 16GB, Kuwait-Mall sells it for 299 KD. Also I searched for stores that sells the 3GS, I found them in Sharq ( Where they sell bicycles ) and they told me that the locked 16GB costs nearly 310 KD. The prices are not cheap and I guess that by time the price will go really down, so I'm going to wait.

Update : Just found this group in Facebook that sells the 16GB 3GS for only 180 KD and the 32GB for 250 KD, these are really good prices ! .. But still we don't know if they're locked or unlocked, Thanks Blasha.

Me and my family used to travel to Geneva every year. Geneva is one of the best countries in the world, well maybe just to me .. This year I can't leave Kuwait because I'm having my second summer course ( which sucks ), and we all know that the temperature is getting higher and higher every single day, God knows how it will be during Ramadan !

Amazing Honda ad

I don't know how they pulled it off, my best guess is that they suffered doing the entire sound in the ad with their vocal cords. The sound is amazing specially the part where they play the music and the beat boxing starts. It's one of the best ad's I have ever seen.

Khaitan Clashes

On Tuesday, illegal vegetable sellers attacked inspectors while they were enforcing the law and asked them to cooperate in Khaitan. The illegal vegetable sellers ( peddlers ) had transformed the area into a makeshift market selling vegetables and other stock. When the cleanup crew that accompanied the inspectors tried to arrest them the peddlers start to throw stones and assaulting them.

15 peddlers were arrested and will be investigated.
